VT Emergency Preparedness Conference
I am writing to request your assistance in developing plans and strategies for Vermont to address the needs of people with disabilities, access and functional needs during a disaster.
As part of the VT Emergency Preparedness Conference on Friday, November 4th at Stowe Mountain Resort, we will be hosting a pre-conference session from 8am-12pm (Inclusive Emergency Management - Planning for the Whole Community) to strategize, develop plans, identify resources, partners and stakeholders to assist VT in preparing to meet the needs of this population. The conference is free and open to the public.
We would appreciate it if you could attend or identify someone from your organization to attend and provide input on the planning process including areas that were positive and areas of challenges from the recent disasters to ensure VT is effectively meeting the needs of the whole community and providing access and equity before, during and after a disaster.
