The new session is starting with many committees already scheduling reviews of budget and policy issues of concern to VCDR . The first calendar of the session is pasted into this email along with links to budget ("tiger team") reports from the Administration. The steering committee and I will be working with Karen Lafayette, our legislative liaison, on other updates and alerts as the session unfolds. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We need your stories on topics of concern to you and bills you are watching.

Legislative Calendar and Governor's State of the State Thursday
Most Committees this week are getting updates from the administration, reviewing their legislative priorities, (House Human Services) and talking about the Budget Adjustment bill (House Appropriations), and Healthcare reform issues (House Health Care, and Senate Health and Welfare).The Governor gives his "State of the State" address on Thursday the 7th at 2:00pm. He will give his Budget address (2011) later in January (tentatively scheduled for January 19th)
